The Riyadh Money-washers took on the Rouen Huskies at Shockers Field.
The Riyadh Money-washers handed the Rouen Huskies a loss at Shockers Field. The final score was 10-2. Leo Martinez was one of the major contributors for Riyadh. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Izumi Furukawa earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 5 innings. He upped his record to 5-17.
Jim Richards had a big bases-clearing double for the Money-washers in the top of the third inning. With Riyadh leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from top prospect Felix Zamudio and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Money-washers ahead, 5-0.
"We hit the ball hard," said Riyadh manager Lone Wolf. "Line drive after line drive."
Riyadh, with the win, climbs to 49-112.
