Smokers Win with Late Heroics
|
The Seattle Smokers got a stellar effort from pitcher Oscar Mosquea, helping Seattle score a win over the visiting Tokyo Ghouls, 6-2, in 12 innings. Seattle is now 77-58, 2 games up in the Division 1.
Seattle got a knockout punch from Matt Latour. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Oscar kept his poise and got the job done," said Seattle manager Lloyd Smith. "He was outstanding."
