Nightmares Earn Late Win
|
Riyadh got a big-time effort from pitcher Malaki Shinda, but it wasn't enough to keep the Alamos Town Nightmares from winning the game, 4-3. Shinda threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Alamos Town, at 39-29, is 2 games up in the Division 1.
Alamos Town took a 4-3 lead on Leo Amaya's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Amaya hit in the top of the eighth, left Riyadh pitcher Danny Baca visibly frustrated.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Riyadh skipper Lone Wolf.
