Big Game from Luna Not Enough, Scholars Lose
Rhodes right fielder Manny Luna was sensational. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Carolina beat the Scholars, 10-9. Carolina reliever Chris Hicks was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Tony Romero took the loss. The loss drops Rhodes to 3-4.

Alex Espinosa came through with a big-time hit for Carolina. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 9-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Enjoyed this one," Espinosa told the Carolina Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
