Late Rally by Fricks Secures 3-0 Win
|
The Silicon Valley Bootstrappers got a sterling performance from pitcher Alexis Rodriguez, but the Fools Town Fricks still prevailed, 3-0. Rodriguez threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Fools Town reliever Stephen Jacob was the winner. His record is now 3-2. Angelo Erivez took the loss. Julio Segura got the save, the 13th for him this season.
Fools Town needed the clutch hitting of Roger Santana to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fricks on top, 2-0. For the game, Santana had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Fools Town manager Cuh GM commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
The 8th-place Fricks go to 30-35.
