Riding the 3-hit performance of the 27-year old third baseman Angel Villanuva, the Tokyo Ghouls stopped the Langley Falls Bazooka Sharks, 7-2, in 9 innings. Wayne Dethridge, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. At 20-27, Tokyo is in 8th place in the Division 1.
The Ghouls got a big at-bat from right fielder Lou Cote. For the game, Cote was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Tokyo a 2-0 lead.
