Whitson and Oberkfell Swapped Monday, November 17th , 1980 It is being reported in Milwaukee that the Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed on a trade. According to anonymous sources 24-year old 3B Ken Oberkfell and 27-year old SS Craig Reynolds will be dealt to the Pirates in return for 25-year old RHP Ed Whitson and $30,000 in cash. In his career, Whitson has racked up 42 wins and 38 losses and posted an ERA of 3.75. For his 386-game career Oberkfell has hit .270 with 352 hits, 169 RBIs, and 11 home runs. |
