Twins Get One-Run Win at Cleveland
Minnesota got a first-rate effort from pitcher Dick Ruthven, who frustrated Cleveland hitters en route to a 1-0 Twins triumph at Cleveland Stadium. Cleveland has now lost 5 consecutive games.

In the top of the first, Roy Smalley pounced on a fastball from Bruce Berenyi and hit a run-scoring single. It gave Minnesota a quick 1-0 lead.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Smalley.
