Kings Suffer 4-2 Setback
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Lamesa Lobos and Mount Vernon Kings.
The Lamesa Lobos beat the Mount Vernon Kings, 4-2. Lamesa pitcher and The United States, native Kurt Best led the way. The 5th-place Lobos lifted their record to 35-61.
In the bottom of the fourth, Lamesa second baseman Rich Puig had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Puig stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 4-1, Lamesa. For the game, he went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Best.
