White Sox Beat Twins, 6-4
|
Minnesota got a terrific game from third baseman Jim Ray Hart. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Chicago, 6-4. Hart was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Gary Ryerson locked down his 6th save. The current losing streak for Minnesota has reached 4 games.
Helping the Chicago cause was Joe Nolan. In the bottom of the third, the 29-year old catcher had a run-scoring walk to make the score 4-2, White Sox.
"I believe in our guys," said Chicago skipper Mel Clark. "I like the energy they're playing with."
