A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Tucson Toros and Medford Nuggets.

Gary Rahe had an impact in the 8-4 Tucson win over Medford. The 29-year old center fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Len Bradley got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Rahe hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
