Playoff Bound: Bluegills Win Wild Card Saturday, September 1st, 2040 For the Boise Bluegills, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs. "We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said center fielder Jayden Brewer. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse." With a record of 47-41, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager Ron Rocco said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 2nd BLB Rookie League championship. |
