Goldschmidt Goes Downtown 3 Times Against Jaguars Monday, April 9th , 2063 In a powerful performance that left the fans at The Lair buzzing, Carroll HS Dragons right fielder York Goldschmidt blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 16-4 win over the Jefferson City HS Jaguars. "Everything was clicking," Goldschmidt told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Goldschmidt shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Dragons manager Isaac Minor said. "York played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." York Goldschmidt hit a two-run home run off Bert Silver in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Bert Silver in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Elias Brumley in the 6th. This year Goldschmidt is batting .344 with 44 hits, 13 home runs, 36 RBIs, 16 walks, .423 OBP and has scored 28 runs. |
