Hyannis Takes Round 2 in Deciding Game
Friday, April 27th , 2063
The Round 2 went the distance before it all was said and done.
The Hyannis Harbor Hawks and the Harwich Mariners went at it tooth-and-nail and when it was over at McKeon Park, the winner was the Harbor Hawks.
They put away Harwich 3-2 to cinch the series and won the right to move onto the Cape Cup.
For his fine play, even in a losing effort, Harwich first baseman Robbie Richardson was given the series Most Valuable Player Award. He hit .455, scored 1 runs and batted in 5 to win the honor.
"It's nice that someone noticed my numbers, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a win," he said.
The Cape Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
