Thomas Smacks 5 Hits for Anglers Friday, April 11th , 2059 5 times is the charm -- at least for Greg Thomas. The Chatham Anglers first baseman tore up the Brewster Whitecaps to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Veteran's Field today. The offensive onslaught from Thomas powered the Anglers to a 6-5 win. "Thomas was a tough out today," Brewster manager Kaneie Kuwata said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Greg Thomas struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Arthur Braddy in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
