Cross Hits in 20 Consecutive Games

Yarmouth-Dennis center fielder Derick Cross keeps on racking up hits every time he plays.
His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 2 hits at Eldredge Park today. The Red Sox took the 4-1 victory over the Orleans Firebirds.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Cross said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Derick Cross singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.
In 45 games Cross is hitting .345 this season with 61 hits, 6 home runs, 30 RBIs, 18 walks, .423 OBP and has scored 37 runs.
