Lurie Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Monday, March 15th , 2060 Brewster third baseman Andy Lurie keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 25 games after collecting 3 hits at Stony Brook Field today. The Whitecaps took the 6-1 victory over the Wareham Gatemen. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Lurie said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Andy Lurie singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and doubled in the 7th. This year Lurie has hit at a .391 clip with 45 hits, 11 home runs, 36 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
