Sauser Rips Arizona State for 5 Hits Tuesday, February 17th , 2060 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Rice's Phil Sauser made it happen today against the Sun Devils. Everything came together at the plate for the 20-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Owls to a 12-11 win at Reckling Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Sauser said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Phil Sauser singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Spencer Maldonado in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
