Tarheels Dominate, Sweep Super Regionals Thursday, May 1st , 2059 The Rice Owls were simply overmatched by the North Carolina Tarheels in the Super Regionals. The end result was a sweep, as North Carolina has cruised to the College World Series, with the final win coming at Reckling Park by a score of 5-3. "We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Julian Ray, who was named MVP of the Super Regionals. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this." For the series, Ray hit .714 with a .800 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 1 runs.
