Beavers Dominate, Sweep Sweet 16 Saturday, May 10th , 2053 The Oregon State Beavers have swept the Pacific Tigers and are on to the Regionals. Oregon State won 5-2 today at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field to clinch the Sweet 16. "We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Oregon State first baseman Dave Dominey, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning." Dominey won the award with a .500 batting average and a .500 on-base percentage.
