Sweet 16 Goes the Distance, Oregon State Prevails Tuesday, April 20th , 2060 It was a rousing finish to the Sweet 16 at Packard Stadium today. The Oregon State Beavers sent the Arizona State Sun Devils home for the season with a 6-1 win in the decisive game of the series. The Beavers took the series 2-1. Up next on their schedule is the Regionals. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Oregon State left fielder Evan Garrettson. His numbers included a .385 batting average, 7 RBIs and 4 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Regionals," he said. The Regionals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
