UCLA Sweeps into the Regionals Saturday, April 19th , 2059 The UCLA Bruins proved to be too much to handle for the Nevada Las Vegas Rebels in the Sweet 16, and a sweep was the end result. UCLA punched its ticket to the Regionals on the strength of a 7-0 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 2-0. UCLA center fielder Rhys Schneider, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Nevada Las Vegas pitching to the tune of a .600 average, with a .667 on-base percentage.
