Miller Sizzles -- Smokes Bruins for 5 Hits
Saturday, April 7th , 2063
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the North Carolina's 11-5 win over UCLA today, catcher Andy Miller was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Ballpark of Charlotte College.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Miller said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Andy Miller singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jaleen Dunlap in the 8th.
This year Miller is hitting .331, produced 29 RBIs and 8 home runs, scored 27 times and gotten on base at a .400 rate.
