Gassett and Hughes Suspended for Free-for-All Monday, February 21st , 2061 Julian Gassett of the USC Trojans and Skyler Hughes of the Miami Hurricanes received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 6 and 12 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Dedeaux Field. This year Gassett is hitting .308 with 1 home run and 5 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .500 clip and scored 3 runs. For the year Hughes has made 6 relief appearances and claimed 3 saves. His record is 0-2 with 3 strikeouts in 5.2 innings and a 3.18 ERA. |
