Postseason Bid Ends for Stanford Thursday, April 8th , 2060 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Stanford this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Stanford Cardinal today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Cardinal manager Edwin Cantu, "but it never gets fun." Before this season, the Cardinal had made the playoffs 6 times in a row. In the 73 years they have been a NCAA franchise, they have made the playoffs 37 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Cardinal have missed the playoffs 2 times. Stanford has won the College World Series 2 times in their history. |
