Super Swinger -- Mayfield Slams 5 Hits Friday, March 21st , 2064 It was a parade of hits for Ken Mayfield of the Baylor Bears at Goodwin Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Mayfield finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Bears to a win, 6-1. "Mayfield was really good and we were really bad," groaned Titans manager Albie Perpich. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Ken Mayfield hit a two-run home run off Julius Eades in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Julius Eades in the 4th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
