Bang-up Game: Volter Slams 3 Homers

In a powerful performance that left the fans at Golden Eagles Ballpark buzzing, Rice Owls right fielder Keierre Volter blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 8-5 win over the Oregon Ducks.
"Everything was clicking," Volter told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Volter shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Owls manager Dave Woods said. "Keierre played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Keierre Volter flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Preston Slawski in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Chandler Way in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Keyon Shao in the 8th.
Volter's current batting average stands at .431 and he has chalked up 3 home runs and 6 RBIs.
