Fox Sizzles -- Smokes Golden Bears for 5 Hits Wednesday, February 18th , 2060 Jerry Fox really sizzled at the plate in today's 6-3 win over Golden Bears. The Miami left fielder blistered California for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Fox was too tough to get out today," the Golden Bears skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Jerry Fox singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year Fox has hit .333 with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs.
