Little Rock Loses SS Battle, Suspended by League Wednesday, June 14th , 2062 In Little Rock the Travelers got the news of Charlie Battle's 3-game suspension. The 23-year-old shortstop appeared to make contact with an umpire while arguing balls and strikes during yesterday's game against the Indians. Battle told reporters that he did not grab anybody. "It is one thing to throw me out of the game for arguing, but that is not enough to kick me out for 3 games." So far this year, Battle is batting .273 with 4 home runs and 16 RBIs. |
