May's HL Batter of Month Award Announced Monday, June 1st, 2043 Reading Railers fans believe they've got a talented young star in Matthew Sofield. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in May, as he hit .353 with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. The end result was the right fielder being named the Herbert League Batter of the Month. For the season, Sofield is hitting at a .350 clip with 8 home runs, 35 RBIs and has scored 28 runs. He has 55 hits, 21 walks and a .425 on-base percentage. |
