Hit Streak Now at 20 for Guy Wednesday, June 17th, 2048 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Benjamin Guy did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at Legions Ballpark today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 21-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Reading Railers beat the Erie Roadrunners 12-0 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Guy told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Reading clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Benjamin Guy singled in the 1st, walked in a run in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Guy is hitting .319 in 2048 with 28 RBIs and 4 home runs. |
