Playoff Bound: Dirtbags Win Wild Card Saturday, September 8th, 2040 The Vicksburg Dirtbags could very well have acquired some new fans late this season, as the team's 2040 playoff chase saw them win the wild card as the season wound to a close. "It's an exciting time to be a fan of the Dirtbags. I think we had people on the edge of their seats wondering what would happen," said reliever June Burlison. What ended up happening is that the team's 55-64 record has allowed it to move on to the postseason, with a chance to win the 2nd Bush Championship in franchise history. "It's only going to get more exciting from here on in," Burlison said. |
