3 Boomers for Johnson Sunday, May 28th , 2062 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Frenchman Bay Ballpark buzzing, Buffalo Red Wings left fielder Montell Johnson blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 10-4 win over the Bar Harbor Islanders. "Everything was clicking," Johnson told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Johnson shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Red Wings manager Cam Littleboy said. "Montell played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Montell Johnson singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tom Terry in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Myles Schmitt in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jaden Morehouse in the 8th. In his season totals Johnson has 11 home runs and a .292 batting average. |
