Rockford's Wolfson Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Monday, May 12th , 2059 A jubilant Ezekiel Wolfson joined the postgame press conference at Sluggers Stadium today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Charleston Rebels pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Rockford Playboys center fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led the Playboys to a 5-3 win. "He made it look easy," said Dave Stewart, manager of the Rebels. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Ezekiel Wolfson hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. So far this season Wolfson is batting .375 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 96 at-bats, 7 walks and a .413 OBP. Wolfson has played in 23 games.
