Patriots Hurler Named June's Top Starter Friday, July 1st, 2044 There's something about a young rookie winning the The Mash Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Jaime Olinger, a 26-year-old starter for the Lawrence Patriots. In June, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 1.22 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 37 innings, fanned 15 and held opposing teams to a .179 average. Presently Olinger has a 10-2 mark in 12 starts with a 2.78 ERA. He has given up 57 hits in 77.2 innings, struck out 41 and issued 26 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .210 batting average against him. |
