Myrtle Beach Win League Championship Monday, September 20th , 2060 Harrison Sapp said he expected the League Championship to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Myrtle Beach Shorebirds encountered little resistance in sweeping the Harrisburg Capitals, to advance to the Lautering Trophy. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Sapp. Myrtle Beach won the final game by a 4-3 count and were led in the series by Sapp, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .500 with 0 home runs. He also drove in 1 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Lautering Trophy matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
