Calgary Takes League Championship Wednesday, September 24th , 2059 There's joy in Calgary tonight as the Cowboys took the League Championship to the brink and came out on top. The Calgary Cowboys have advanced to the Lautering Trophy, by edging the San Francisco Seals 2-1, with the final blow coming in a 2-1 win at The Dust Bowl. "Whether or not there's bad blood on the field, we respect San Francisco and their players and that was one heck of a series," said Calgary right-hander Jimmie Tyler, who earned series MVP honors. "You've got to give them credit, as in the end they pushed us right to the edge and that's a big test." For the series, Tyler had a 0.00 ERA over 7 innings pitched.
