Wild Card Goes the Distance, Oklahoma City Prevails Friday, September 12th , 2059 It went the distance, but the Oklahoma City 89'ers finally disposed of the Washington Oaks 3-1 in the series clincher at Field of the Pythons. Winning the finale gave the 89'ers the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Divisional Series. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Oklahoma City center fielder Ozzie Young. He batted .500 in the series, collecting 1 RBIs and scoring 1 runs. "Ozzie deserves it," said 89'ers manager Tom Lintz. "He was the glue that held our club together."
