Washington Clinches Wild Card Thursday, August 28th , 2059 The Washington Oaks are celebrating a trip to the postseason and say they plan to make the most of the opportunity. The team officially clinched a wild card berth today and starting pitcher Quenton Wagner said they are "looking forward to making some noise" in the playoffs. "There's nothing better than postseason baseball," he said. "We hope to go on a deep run and give our fans in Washington something to be excited about." For now, excitement is running high as the team's 65-46 record has clinched the playoff position and the team has a chance to win its 7th Lautering Union championship. |
