Myrtle Beach Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Tuesday, August 26th , 2059 There will certainly be no championship parade for the Myrtle Beach Shorebirds this season. They were already on the outside looking in for the playoff chase, but the club was officially eliminated from contention today. Before this season, the Shorebirds had made the playoffs 3 times in a row. In the 82 years they have been a Lautering Union franchise, they have made the playoffs 34 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Shorebirds have missed the playoffs 5 times. Myrtle Beach last won the Lautering Trophy in 2039. |
