Week's Best Player Honored by WORT Monday, August 15th, 2039 So far in his young career, Mitchell Townsend has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the The Wort in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Oklahoma City 89'ers center fielder hit at a torrid .565 clip as he collected 13 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Currently Townsend is batting .309 with 19 home runs and 66 RBIs. |
