Bar Harbor Reliever Named MASH #1 Pitcher Friday, August 1st , 2059 When Bar Harbor reliever Jared Bedard strolled in from the bullpen in July, it did not bode well for the opposing team. He usually put a quick end to any budding rally. For his excellent mound work he was named the The Mash Pitcher of the Month. The Islanders reliever had 9 saves for the month with a 3-2 record and 0.96 ERA. He made 15 relief appearances, hurled 18.2 innings, yielded 11 hits, fanned 20 and walked 4. Bedard has gone to the hill for 44 relief appearances this season, nailing down 31 saves while notching a 5-3 record with a 0.90 ERA. The Bar Harbor reliever has limited opposing batters to a .196 batting average. |
