Llamas Swats 3 Homers Friday, July 25th , 2059 Joseph Llamas was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 7-0 Moncton Mohawks triumph at Axemen Ballpark today. The 33-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Mohawks past the Buffalo Red Wings. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Llamas told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The first baseman went 4-for-5, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Joseph Llamas hit a solo-shot off Jesse Manbeck in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Manbeck in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Nic Lewin in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Llamas is batting .259 with 17 home runs and 52 RBIs this season. |
