No Late-Season Magic Coming: Bar Harbor Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 9th, 2040 In what reliever Pat Mehring called a "devastating blow" for baseball fans in Bar Harbor, the Bar Harbor Islanders won't be a part of the playoffs this season. They were officially eliminated from contention earlier today. This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2037. In the last 10 seasons, the Islanders have missed the playoffs 3 times. In total, the Islanders have missed the playoffs 34 times in their 62-year history.
