Jordan's 23-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Wednesday, April 13th, 2044
The hitting streak that Pittsburgh right fielder Arthur Jordan had kept going for 23 games was ended today by the Baltimore Bulldogs. Jordan was stymied over 4 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 7-5 victory at Kennywood Park.
"Hitting streaks come and go," Jordan said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."
To date this year Jordan is batting .390 with no home runs.
