Jennings Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Saturday, April 30th , 2050 Toronto Canadians shortstop Dane Jennings had a day to remember at Wildcats Ballpark today, ripping apart the Wilmington Clowns and sparking the Canadians to a 7-4 victory. Jennings wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Jennings told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Dane Jennings singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
