Guides on to Divisional Series Tuesday, October 8th , 2052 After eliminating the Santo Domingo Rum Runners 6-4 in the Wild Card at Brugal Park, the victorious Maine Guides will now move on to the next round: the Divisional Series. Maine beat Santo Domingo 3-1 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Guides right fielder Layne Marmol, who knocked in 4 runs, hit .364 and scored 2 times. "The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Marmol said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here."
