Petit Stretches Hit String to 30 Wednesday, September 25th , 2052 Cory Petit of the New Orleans Voodoo extended his hitting streak to 30 straight games with 3 hits in today's 8-4 triumph over the Montreal Exports at The Brewery. "Cory has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Voodoo manager Joey Paley joked after the game. Cory Petit singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. In his stats this season, Petit has posted a batting average of .392 with 237 hits in 604 at-bats, 20 home runs and 101 RBIs. He has also scored 117 runs, walked 42 times and compiled a .437 OBP. |
