Phoenix Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 22nd , 2052 Even the most die-hard fans of the Phoenix Roadrunners will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Roadrunners closer Neal Forsberg. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." Phoenix last appeared in the postseason in 2048. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 57 times in their 75 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Roadrunners have made the playoffs 7 times. Phoenix has won the Brewmasters Cup 3 times in their history. |
