Petit Hits in 25 Consecutive Games Thursday, September 19th , 2052 New Orleans first baseman Cory Petit keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 25 games after collecting 2 hits at Pawtucket Park today. The Voodoo took the 8-1 victory over the Pawtucket Patriots. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Petit said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Cory Petit walked in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Petit is batting .393 this season in 146 games with 20 home runs, 99 RBIs and 115 runs scored. He has 229 hits in 583 at-bats. |
